Extreme Irony

A manned helicopter crashed near Pike's Peak while filming the unmanned Autonomous Audi climbing the famed peak.

Extreme irony perhaps. Extreme pain for the pilot. Extremely interesting comment on our times when sensors and computers can outperform humans at complex tasks in demanding situations.

For decades military jets have really been beyond the ability of pilots thus paving the way for unmanned aircraft that can pull g's and not black out or gray out, but automobile driving?

Helicopter flying at high altitude with attention on the camera's field of focus proved beyond the task of humans. Climbing Pike's Peak without a driver was fine.
