Diving instructor Christian Ekstrom said the bottles are believed to be from the 1780s and likely were part of a cargo destined for Russia. The nationality of the sunken ship has not yet been determined.
Wow. That is some find for those Swedish divers.
I might prefer some Kubler Absinthe but a 230 year old champagne will do nicely also.

I would dearly love to sample some of that 230 year old champagne but doubt I would be able to afford a trip to Scandinavia to do it.
Consider Absinthe: it can be enjoyed at the currently "in" club in the Luxor Casino in Las Vegas as a 300 dollar menu item. I however do not like to "go clubbing" or pay such outrageous prices for Bottle Service. Absinthe is readily available at several of Mandalay Bay's clubs at a nominal rate of 16 dollars and would usually be eligible for being comped. Thats much more my style than 300 dollars for pretentious Bottle Service.
